Hello and welcome to my website. I’ve desgined a catalog of various armors and weapon from the video game World of Warcraft. These items will have attributes to them such as armor type, armor slot, armor quality, required levels and attributes (hit points, intellect, strength, etc.). This is a small example of a plethora of attributes there is that can be sorted by. Therefore, the filtering system will be quite in depth in order to maximize sorting and finding precisely what the user wants to find. This example will have a smaller amount of information to pull from (25-50 examples of items). While in the actual game there are thousands of items to catalog from.
In the insertion section of this website the items and their respective values are based off the assumption the the values respresent the item(s) like they're within the video game. There are options for a simple input of name, item lvel or required level with inputs. Furthermore, there are a few extended dropdown options for quicker ease of understanding a larger quanitty of information at once. Item attributes that are more easily understood from the video game are items having sockets, bindings, being warforged and if the item is indestructible. These option values are simply plucked from the attributes in game and represented on the items here. Generic MMO item attributes are displayed with mass inputs to input the value in a simple manner. And last but not least, you upload an image that represents the icon of the item 'in-game'.
The mass filtering section for searching through the items has been laid out with dropdowns to reduce the mass information being projected at the user all at once. Common values that are searched by users would be the name of the item or the item level or required level to use the item. Off to the right hand side of the screen are 4 dropdown selections of general information about the items you may be searching for. Below the required level inputs on the left hand side are more specific value searched on items. Such as searching for specific greater than or less than value of an item attribute (such as strength) on an item. Or below that the options to search for gems and their respective color(s) and the items behaviour to being used in game. This binding refers to how an item acts on being interacted with. Whether it 'stuck' to your character or if you're able to sell it to others or if you can only echange it to other characters on your own account.
